Committed to Being Carbon Neutral

At Crafted Globe, we believe that becoming carbon neutral is a crucial step in tackling climate change.

That’s why we’re proud to align with the USA Retail Consortium Climate Action Roadmap, joining the retail industry's mission to achieve net zero carbon emissions.

We’re actively collaborating with suppliers, fellow retailers, and government bodies to implement practical, sustainable solutions that reduce carbon footprints across the industry.

Material

We want to pave the way for conscious and responsible furniture design. That’s why we invest in sustainable materials from solid woods to recycled velvets. This process allows you to make more conscious decisions, by investing in eco-friendly products that not only consider the environment but are durable and long-lasting too.

Take solid woods and hardwoods such as mango wood, oak, beech, and ash that are renewable resources and biodegradable; Our natural rattan, cane, and cord is also 100% biodegradable, with the process of producing these materials being extremely eco-friendly; Lastly, we are forever expanding our sustainable fabrics including velvet and boucle, all made from used plastics.

Sustainable furniture

From mattresses made with locally sourced wool and hemp to dining tables
crafted from sustainable or recycled wood, we're partnering with furniture
makers that are committed to producing eco-friendly furniture. And, of course,
we always recycle furniture packaging.

We've also created a series of online furniture care guides to help you keep
your furniture around for as long as possible. It's one of the easiest ways to
make a commitment to sustainable furniture.

Protecting our forests

We’re committed to working only with furniture suppliers that use sustainable raw materials. That means that the wood our suppliers source for the dining tables, sideboards and other wood furniture we sell must adhere to the standards of sustainability established by the European Union Timber Regulation.

These standards are designed to limit the availability of non-sustainable wood furniture and furniture made from illegally derived timber. It’s important to us that we do our bit to help protect the world’s forests.

This is just the beginning

We know that as a major retailer we have a responsibility to run our business more sustainably.

Right now we're working on further offsetting the carbon generated by our stores and delivery vans, exploring ways to use renewable energy to power our stores, and reviewing our supply chains to make deliveries more efficient. And we'll continue to build relationships with brands and suppliers that offer eco-friendly furniture.

We're very much looking forward to the next chapter in our sustainability story.
